Had a lovely stay with a super comfy bed and great hot water. Enjoyed sipping coffee in the peaceful courtyard! The garden was perfect for reading and relaxing, making it a nice retreat after a day of exploring. Just a heads up, there was a little hiccup with the shower water being cool at times, but overall, it was a fantastic experience. 😊

The charming architecture and atmosphere provide a unique appeal that captures the essence of the location.
The room's sparse furniture—just two double beds and one chair—left it feeling empty. Noise levels were a major issue, especially from the kitchen clattering away early in the morning and late into the evening, making restful sleep a challenge. The breakfast options were underwhelming and not very inspiring, contributing to an overall feeling of mediocrity during the stay.

Charming Colonial Stay with Room for Improvement
I recently stayed for 4 nights in a lovely old hacienda with beautiful painted arches close to the main plaza in Popayan. My room was spacious and comfortable, but the breakfast options could use some variety to enhance the experience. Overall, the hotel has a lot of character and a pleasant ambiance that made my stay enjoyable.

Hotel La Plazuela was a lovely place to stay! The large double room was spacious and quiet, featuring a huge, comfy bed. I enjoyed the excellent shower with perfect water pressure, and having a TV with streaming services added to the experience. The location is just a block from the main plaza, making it super convenient to explore! The staff were really welcoming and attentive.
A little noise from the street occasionally.

Solo traveler hidden gem
Rooms are really nice and have a good vibe just like I like. The ceiling fan in the room helped with the night noise from the street which was unbearable at times but I slept alright after the first night.
It wasn't exactly cheap but for the location and the stay it was acceptable.

I stayed in a large double room for one night. The room was nice and clean, which was a big plus. It had this cool colonial vibe, but the lack of curtains on the window was a bit awkward. Also, the WiFi was strong and worked great throughout my stay. The bathroom was modern, so that was a nice touch. I felt super comfy overall, but just wished for better privacy with the window situation.
